Today's post is the last in a week-long series.
Each day, I've been doing celebrity color analysis for women of color who have starred or had supporting roles in Hallmark Christmas movies. Today, we are looking at a series of movies - Christmas in Evergreen, Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa, and Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy - and two actresses, who have starred in both.
Hallmark's Christmas in Evergreen Series
I have fallen in love with the Christmas in Evergreen series, and am hopeful that there will be a brand new one for this upcoming Christmas season! If you get a chance to watch any or all of them, I recommend them.
Each takes place in a charming small town called - you guessed it - Evergreen. There's a local store and restaurant that has a magical snow globe. Town legend suggests that if you shake it, while making a wish, your wish will come true.
In real life, the Evergreen movies are actually filmed at the Burnaby Village Museum in Canada's British Columbia, according to Coastal Living magazine. The museum is designed to look like an early Canadian province complete with a general store, trolley, old-fashioned ice cream parlour, and more. In short, it's the perfect setting for a Hallmark Christmas movie about a charming small town. - Refinery29.com
Holly Robinson Peete and Rukiya Bernard are our women of color actress choices for today, and they have both starred in all three of the Christmas in Evergreen movies.
And what matters most to me is that, rather than just being sidekicks or best friends, they have each been given their own romantic storylines! Keep it going, Hallmark. You're on the right track.
Both actresses have the same color analysis type, too. They both belong to the Deep color home. But let's see if they both get the same personalized palette colors...
The Personalized Color Palettes
When I do personalized color palettes for clients, I offer ten or more of their very best colors. The ones that make them shine brightest.
And though, with color analysis, two people may have the same color home, their personalized palettes will often be different.
Here are the personalized palette colors I chose for Holly Robinson Peete and Rukiya Bernard.
Surprise! I decided to only choose a Christmas red and green this time and they can both wear the same ones.
If I gave them a red and green capsules, then the reds and greens would begin to differ. But these two could make the cut in both color palettes.
What do you think? Can you imagine them wearing those colors and looking wonderful?
See you next time!
My mission is to help you discover, embrace and celebrate your own beauty and style.
Thanks for dropping by! I'll see you soon.
