In last week's post, we took a look at creating a loungewear capsule wardrobe. Many of us are sheltering in place at the moment and might be paying more attention to what we are wearing at home, than anywhere else. That's true for me, too. And I have to confess that this is the part of my wardrobe that I tend to ignore. I mean, I have loungewear. But I certainly don't love it. I'd say we tolerate each other. So I decided to today to take a look at what an ideal loungewear capsule wardrobe would be for me. Toward a Loungewear Capsule Wardrobe: What I Have NowYears ago, I bought several things that were meant to make me feel more cozy at home, but I didn't reach high enough. I bought a couple of robes, and a couple of house dresses. They are very comfortable, but they don't feel like I'm actually dressed, to be honest. They are practical, but not very stylish. And not all that flattering, unfortunately. This past year, I grabbed an old burnt orange cardigan that is still in fairly decent shape & paired it with a red loungewear dress and red-and-orange fuzzy socks. it has become my absolute favorite thing to wear at home. Why do I love it? Well, it's comfy and it feels like me! I like the sort of cheeky color combo, and the way it looks like I am wearing actual clothes at home. But the next step, obviously, is to wear actual clothes at home. The only problem is that I don't want to wear out the clothes I wear elsewhere. So my goal is to choose clothes I will probably only wear at home. My Loungewear Wish ListThough I may eventually want ten pieces, as I recommended last week, I am willing to start small. Here's what I'm thinking for a mostly warm weather loungewear capsule wardrobe... 2 pairs of leggings - brown and heather grey 2 tops - one, a tank top; the other, short-sleeved 3 cardigans - a heather grey one, a burnt orange one & a green one. The good news: I have all three cardigans already; I just haven't switched them over to use at home, except for the burnt orange one. And I have a pair of brown leggings that after more than a decade, are probably ready to retire, but are very comfy. So I am almost halfway there. Eventually, I wouldn't mind adding a tank dress and a striped or floral top. What's on your loungewear wish list? See you tomorrow! Love, Jeanine ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Ok, I know i live in NY but as many pointed out times before NYC is the fashion capital NOT Long Island where I am from and reside....I say if others do not like what I am wearing they have their own problems. I need to feel comfortable first, if I am not comfortable I do not wear it! I like my jeans, my sweatshirts, tshirts, and all.....workout clothese fit my chosen occupation as a blogger, dog trainer, health coach, photographer, and published author. Dress for comfort- I like that orange cardigan you have on their though! It looks soft and cozy and something you can go out in and then cuddle with your dog in the recliner and read a good book in!

My loungewear trends towards the invisible. No need to mix or match anything.

Oh I love that orange cardigan. I would go toward pinks and purples and maybe some blues and super soft on the inside. I would like leggings but for under dresses... I love loungewear dresses... always a girly girl,
