5 Ways to Love Your Clothes Again

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, many of us are still spending most of our time at home. And if that's new to you, you may not ever have created a fully-developed loungewear capsule wardrobe.

But this is a time when a lot of us are not spending much money on clothes. So if you have started to get bored with wearing the same things over and over, I've got some ideas about how to get interested in your clothes again without having to buy anything new...

I love wearing everything in our closets as we will be able to find out what we like and don't like or doesn't fit and get rid of it. As well as dressing up on Sundays which we did as children and I would be able to share a tradition from my childhood with Charlie. Be watching to see what we were when we dress up.

That sounds so fun! I have started going over to a close friend's house to watch our church service together, and though it is still pretty casual, I am having a great time "getting dressed" for church again.

I might try wearing everything in the closet. When it's winter time, I might have to wear everything in the closet at one time. And then try to move. LOL. But seriously, I need to decide what to keep and what I don't love anymore. It will be an adventure in fashion statements.

That's always a good first step - to closely examine everything in your closet. And I want to wear everything in my closet this winter, too. But I am determined to only put in there the things I know will look good on me. I have to stop myself from just leaving them at the back of the closet, LOL.

Thanks, Vidya! I think so, too. And I am doing it even more now, because I know I will be putting some of these clothes away as the season ends, and I have got to decide which ones won't make the cut.

    Hi, I'm Jeanine Byers :)

I'm an author,  Christian image consultant, proud former homeschool boy mom of a college student, Hallmark movie fan and big cuppa tea drinker.

I believe that creating your signature style is a spiritual calling. It's about seeing yourself as God does and delighting in your own beauty and style.

I'm specializing in color analysis and signature style for black women.

As women of color, we often aren't analyzed correctly when we receive color analysis. And all of our lives, we have been given sometimes subtle, and sometimes more overt societal messages about not meeting the cultural standards of beauty.

My mission is to help you discover, embrace and celebrate your own beauty and style.

Thanks for dropping by! I'll see you soon.

    Love, Jeanine
