The House Dress Meets Blue DepthsWho doesn't love a beautiful navy? Though it's a neutral all color types can wear, blue depths is an especially pretty version of it. And it would be a really lovely color for women who are Light or Soft Dominant to wear at home... Fall Closet Outfit PlannerBlue Depths is a part of the Soft color palette for the Closet Outfit Planner, so if you like it, and you're Soft Dominant, I am betting you will love the outfits. And if you're interested in a lighter blue, check out the Light planner. Blue Depths is a beautiful navy neutral and you are likely to see a lot of it this fall and winter. How do you feel about it? See you tomorrow! Love, Jeanine

It does have a great range! Lots of navy prints this season, too.

I really like that T-shirt. I have to say, I am not a big housedress person. They are too loose for me! But I do like the blue color!

Oh, right - it's your favorite color! In Shari Braendel's Fashion Meets Faith capsule guides, for which I am an affiliate, she wanted to honor the fact that graphic tees are in this season, but decided to do so with faith shirts. I know what you mean about things being too loose. I need for dresses to be narrow or tapered. A t-shirt house dress could be, or a tank dress. but this season, they seem to be a lot flowier, so it doesn't look like I'll be getting them either, unfortunately.

I love navy blue. When I was little my mom dressed me in a lot of navy which makes blue eyes sparkle

There you go! Great idea - let me know how it goes. I just finished that process, myself. I added fall clothes weeks ago, but needed to wash and then try quite a few of them on from last year and weed out the ones that weren't quite right. Didn't get around to it until this week, but finally, I am done!

Ooh, I bet this navy would be a great color on you, Martha! Yes, it's nice paired with white.

Jeanine, I do love this not-so-dark navy. I look great in it. And I'm glad to hear there will be plenty of it this Fall-Winter season. Like you, I need to take a fresh look at my clothes for this season and see what I like best. It's always a good time to refresh the wardrobe--lifts our energy, and I'm all about energy!

Yes, you're right, it does! And I particularly like this navy, myself. I don't really wear navy as a neutral, but if I were going to, this would be the one I would pick.

Well, I have to admit that I do not love navy blue. I fund that it is not an especially lively color, so I don't really want to wear solid navy blue. But I do like it as a background for other colors because it pulls back and doesn't compete with the foreground. I feel the same way about navy blue that I do about magenta. I don't know if those were colors that I would choose to wear, although I am sure that I do have some pieces in navy because it seems to be ubiquitous. Isn't that a cool word? I love words. But I digress. Yes, I have to say that navy just isn't my favorite color to wear or for artwork, but, for some people, it looks fantastic. I'm just not convinced that I am one of them!

Well, that's the thing. As a neutral, supposedly, it's for everyone. But the truth is, that even the neutrals will look better on some than on others. So if you don't like it anyway, no need to bother with it. There probably are neutrals you like better, and you can use those whenever you want a little background. I like ivory, camel and dark brown as neutrals, myself.
